OVARIAN CANCER RESEARCH ALLIANCE
The Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance funds research, advocates for patients, and supports survivors of ovarian cancer. Since 1998, they have invested over $100M in ovarian cancer research and 2019 alone advocated for over $200M in government research and education funding.
THE JONNYCAKE CENTER FOR HOPE
The Jonnycake Center serves families in Rhode Island through their food pantry, thrift store, social services offerings, and educational opportunities. As a member agency of the RI Community Food Bank, the Jonnycake Center partners with local farms to provide fresh and healthy food to the community. Through their thrift store, they sell donated goods at a discounted price, the profits of which help to purchase food for the food bank. The Jonnycake Center of RI also offers many volunteer positions, they currently have 65 volunteers who donate more than 1000 hours per month!
JDRF
JDRF funds research and advocates for government action to help in finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. The JDRF also works to support patients and families living with Type 1 Diabetes, until a cure is found. Through their advocacy, they work to promote investment in innovative technologies which will improve the lives of T1D patients.
